| It is said that when the first of the four Masters were at the end of their days and ready to leave this world for the next, the Elemental Lords granted them each a final wish: eternal life within the Cathedral. Element of Air, Stratos embraced his follower, the Mistress of Air. The woman's final breath carried with it her calm and tranquil thoughts, enveloping the Cathedral with peace and friendship that binds us together. Element of Earth, Lithos touched his follower, the Master of Earth. The man's body became the walls that surround and protect our hallowed halls, strong and enduring. His words live on forever as we pass on his teachings for which we use to defend our home. Element of Water, Hydros embraced his follower, the Mistress of Water. The woman's tears carried all her knowledge from all her travels and became the beginnings of a great library. Her renowned ever-changing wardrobe became the first outfits of the Cabal. Remnants can still be seen sported in the hall today. Element of Fire, Pyros touched his follower, the Master of Fire. His fiery spirit resides in each one of us, instilling in us the desire and will to pursue our enemies, and the pride that burns fiercely in every member of Cabal. Touched in return by the simple requests of their followers, the Elemental Lords decided to do one last thing for them. This last wish is for the Cabal that chose to follow them, for everyone that helped shape our home. The Elemental Lords chose to watch over and protect the Cathedral and its inhabitants, until the rebirth of Xarmaroch. They are ever a real part of our surroundings. The original masters left their mark upon us, and every member, Master or Apprentice, that has come afterwards adds to their legacy. We are all indebted to those who came before us and with this history can carry it on and carry it further. We are the Elemental Cabal. By Danae |
